Cr (VI) Detection

Detection of Hexavalent Chromium in the Work Zone.

I identified an opportunity to automate the detection of hexavalent chromium in the work zone. Under the guidance of Dr. N. Gowrishankar, an industry veteran, with over 40 years of experience, I worked with a team to develop a solution using light sensors and IOT systems and implemented it. Authored a paper on the topic and was awarded the ‘Crest Gold Award’.

Downtime Prediction

In what ways can manufacturing losses be predicted and reduced using statistical techniques.

Using downtime data collected from CNC machines, I worked under the mentorship of Mr. Mauricio Hernández, a PhD student at Duke University and authored a research paper to predict and reduce manufacturing losses using statistical techniques.

Sustainable Urban Transport

Sustainable urban transport to reduce congestion and pollution.

Analysed policies, budgetary allocations and gaps in the non-motorized transport industry in India and along with a team of young researchers, co-authored a paper on ‘Sustainable urban transport to reduce congestion and pollution’ which was published in International Journal of Advance Research, Ideas and Innovations in Technology (IJARIIT).

How can air, water and heat consumed in the form of electricity and measured through an energy assessment audit, be identified and reduced.

Worked with a team from IIT-M, a world-renowned educational institution, under the guidance of Mr. Piyush Tamrakar MSc IIT-M. I learnt to take measurements of air, water and electricity consumption of major utilities in a manufacturing plant. Helped analyze the data and prepared a report with recommendations as to how “air, water and heat consumed in the form of electricity be reduced”. Attached is the abstract and the role that I played in preparation of the report.
